  • Thin for Life by Ann Fletcher, RD.  The author interviewed 160 people who lost at least 20 lbs. and kept it off for 3 years.  She reports their common strategies for success.
  • The Mom's Guide to Meal Makeovers by Bissex and Weiss.  Strategies and recipes for making family favorites yummy and healthy.  All recipes child-tested.  Pantry stocking to have items always on hand for quick meals.
  • Eating Expectantly by Swinney.  Comprehensive, easy to read guide to prenatal nutrition, including high risk pregnancy.
  • Strong Women Stay Slim by Nelson.  Gives weight training exercise program to build muscle to boost metabolism, geared especially to women's busy lifestyle.  Other books include Strong Women Stay Young, Strong Women and Men Beat Arthritis.
  • Any book by Robyn Webb who specializes in quick, healthy meals, including food selections allowing you to use the express lane of the grocery store on your way home from work.

  • Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen.  A book available in audio, read by the author, a Christian preacher.  Perfect for car listening; get motivated and inspired by spiritual principles common to all.
